I like toys
In my spare time I like to dabble in lots of things...
This week I took on hacking an HP mini to run OSX
I now own a 10" mac thanks to a bunch of how-to guides and about 2 hours of spare time
Not to be a price dropper but the thing only cost me $280 which is a hell of a lot more reasonable than actually purchasing a mac.
let me know if anyone is interested.

for you artists
Click the picture to see entire flickr set of "Kunst-Formen der Natur (Art Forms in Nature), by Ernst Haeckel, 1898. This is a wonderful book, in the public domain, which features all sorts of illustrations of the natural world. If you're doing some research for organic shapes, this book is a nice place to start."

Annie, get your gun.
Annie Oakley (born Phoebe Ann Mosey August 13, 1860 – November 3, 1926) was an American Sharpshooter and exhibition shooter. Oakley's amazing talent and timely rise to fame led to a starring role in Buffalo Bill's Wild West show, which propelled her to become the first American female superstar.
Using a .22 caliber rifle (like the one I have!!!) at 90 feet, Oakley reputedly could split a playing card edge-on and put five or six more holes in it before it touched the ground.
